stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you.  For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring,  and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.


I will set up my covenant between me and you, and I will multiply you greatly.’


God also said to him, ‘I am God Almighty.  Be fruitful and multiply.  A nation, indeed an assembly of nations, will come from you,  and kings will descend from you.  ,


On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, ‘I give this land to your offspring,  from the Brook of Egypt  to the great river, the River Euphrates:


You are the sons  of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your ancestors, saying to Abraham, And all the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.   ,


You found his heart faithful in your sight, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, Hethites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites – to give it to his descendants. You have fulfilled your promise, for you are righteous.


God also said to Moses, ‘Say this to the Israelites: The Lord, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my name for ever;  this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.


The Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘To your offspring  , I will give this land.’ So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.


Remember his covenant for ever – the promise he ordained for a thousand generations,


But because the Lord loved  you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors, he brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed  you from the place of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.


It was reported to King David, ‘The Lord has blessed Obed-edom’s family and all that belongs to him because of the ark of God.’ So David went and had the ark of God brought up from Obed-edom’s house to the city of David with rejoicing.
