I will lead you home, and with your own eyes you will see me bless you with all you once owned. Then you will be famous everywhere on this earth. I, the LORD, have spoken!

Make them run in the dark on a slippery road, as your angel chases them.

Then I will set up monuments in my temple with your names written on them. This will be much better than having children, because these monuments will stand there for ever.

I, the LORD, promise to bring together my people who were taken away, and let them join the others.

You were hated and deserted, rejected by everyone. But I will make you beautiful, a city to be proud of for all time to come.

Your descendants will be known in every nation. All who see them will realize that they have been blessed, by me, the LORD.

Then you will be called, ‘The LORD's Own People, The Ones He Rescued!’ Your city will be known as a good place to live and a city full of people.”

and not let him rest till he makes Jerusalem strong and famous everywhere.

I also promise that you will always have descendants and will never be forgotten, just as the new heavens and the new earth that I create will last for ever.

I will bring the rest of my people home from the lands where I have scattered them, and they will grow into a mighty nation.

and accept your worship. Then I will gather you from all the nations where I scattered you, and you will return to Jerusalem.

Some day I will let my people from both Israel and Judah return to the land I gave their ancestors.”

When that happens, all nations on earth will see the good things I have done for Jerusalem, and how I have given it complete peace. The nations will celebrate and praise and honour me, but they will also tremble with fear.

Some day I will bless Sodom and Samaria and their nearby villages. I will also bless you, Jerusalem.

The LORD God said: Some day I will gather the people of Israel from the nations where they are now scattered, and every nation will see that I am holy. The Israelites will once again live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob.

to look for those that are lost and bring back the ones that wander off, to bandage those that are hurt and protect the ones that are weak. I will also slaughter those that are fat and strong, because I always do right.

So tell them, “I, the LORD God, promise to open your graves and set you free. I will bring you back to Israel,

and then say: I, the LORD God, will gather the people of Israel and bring them home from the foreign nations where they now live.

Everyone will help with the burial, and they will be honoured for this on the day the brightness of my glory is seen.

My people will realize that I, the LORD their God, sent them away as prisoners and now will bring them back to their own land.

At that time I, the LORD, will make Judah and Jerusalem prosperous again.

I'll make Israel prosper again. You will rebuild your towns and live in them. You will drink wine from your own vineyards and eat the fruit you grow.

I, the LORD, promise to bring together the people of Israel who have survived. I will gather them, just as a shepherd brings sheep together, and there will be many.

Then the lame and the outcasts will belong to my people and become a strong nation. I, the LORD, will rule them from Mount Zion for ever.

The LORD God hasn't forgotten those survivors in Judah, and he will help them— his people will take your land to use for pasture. And when evening comes, they will rest in houses at Ashkelon.

I will punish those who ill-treat you. I will bring together the lame and the outcasts, then they will be praised, instead of despised, in every country on earth.

People of Judah and Israel, you have been a curse to the nations, but I will save you and make you a blessing to them. So don't be afraid or lose courage.

and I will bring them to live in Jerusalem. They will be my people, and I will be their God, faithful to bring about justice.

Everyone of every nation will talk about how I have blessed you and about your wonderful land. I, the LORD All-Powerful, have spoken!

Since you have agreed to obey the LORD, he has agreed that you will be his people and that you will belong to him, just as he promised.

The LORD created all nations, but he will make you more famous than any of them, and you will receive more praise and honour. You will belong only to the LORD your God, just as he promised.
