Zechariah 7:7

My message today is the same one I commanded the earlier prophets to speak to Jerusalem and its villages when they were prosperous, and when all of Judah, including the Southern Desert and the hill country, was filled with people.

Pay close attention! Come to me and live. I will promise you the eternal love and loyalty that I promised David.

The cities in the Southern Desert are surrounded; no one can get in or out. Everyone in Judah will be taken away.

and others will come here from the nearby villages, from the towns of Judah and Benjamin, from the hill country and the foothills to the west, and from the Southern Desert. They will bring sacrifices to please me and to give me thanks, as well as offerings of grain and incense.

When times were good, I warned you. But you ignored me, just as you have done since Israel was young.

But some day, people will again spend their silver to buy fields everywhere—in the territory of Benjamin, the region around Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, and in the hill country, the foothills to the west, and the Southern Desert. Buyers and sellers and witnesses will sign and seal the bills of sale for the fields. It will happen, because I will give this land back to my people. I, the LORD, have spoken.

Time after time I sent my servants the prophets to tell the people of Judah how much I hated their disgusting sins. The prophets warned them to stop sinning,

Instead, I told them, “If you listen to me and do what I tell you, I will be your God, you will be my people, and all will go well for you.”

I will keep you safe only if you change your ways. Be fair and honest with each other.

And when you eat and drink, isn't it for your own enjoyment?

So once again, I, the LORD All-Powerful, tell you, “See that justice is done and be kind and merciful to one another!

The LORD also showed him the land in the south, from the valley near the town of Jericho, known as The City of Palm Trees, down to the town of Zoar.
