God looked at what he had done. All of it was very good! Evening came and then morning—that was the sixth day.

But all of them are corrupt; no one does right.

Only a fool would say, “There is no God!” People like that are worthless! They are heartless and cruel and never do right.

But all of them are crooked and corrupt. Not one of them does right.

They have already stopped obeying me and have made themselves an idol in the shape of a young bull. They have bowed down to it, offered sacrifices, and said that it is the god who brought them out of Egypt.

No one in this world always does right.

I did learn one thing: we were completely honest when God created us, but now we have twisted minds.

All of us were like sheep that had wandered off. We had each gone our own way, but the LORD gave him the punishment we deserved.

You don't know how to live in peace or to be fair with others. The roads you make are crooked; your followers cannot find peace.

We are unfit to worship you; each of our good deeds is merely a filthy rag. We dry up like leaves; our sins are storm winds sweeping us away.

You, my people, have sinned in two ways— you have rejected me, the source of life-giving water, and you've tried to collect water in cracked and leaking pits dug in the ground.

You are a worthless servant, and you will be thrown out into the dark where people will cry and grit their teeth in pain.”

Not one of them understands or even searches for God.

Their words are like an open pit, and their tongues are good only for telling lies. Each word is as deadly as the fangs of a snake,

Once we were also ruled by the selfish desires of our bodies and minds. We had made God angry, and we were going to be punished like everyone else.

Before this, he was useless to you, but now he is useful both to you and to me.

You had wandered away like sheep. Now you have returned to the one who is your shepherd and protector.
