Listen from heaven and decide who is right. Then punish the guilty person and let the innocent one go free.

All kinds of troubles will strike the wicked, but your kindness shields those who trust you, LORD.

Good people want what is best, but troublemakers hope to stir up trouble.

The lives of all people belong to me—parents as well as children. Only those who sin will be put to death.

So in my fierce anger, I will punish the Israelites for what they have done, and they will know that I am furious. I, the LORD, have spoken.

Three days after we got there, Paul called together some of the Jewish leaders and said: My friends, I have never done anything to hurt our people, and I have never gone against the customs of our ancestors. But in Jerusalem I was handed over as a prisoner to the Romans.

Paul said, “You may be sure that God wants to save the Gentiles! And they will listen.”

God sent his chosen Son to you first, because God wanted to bless you and make each one of you turn away from your sins.

I am proud of the good news! It is God's powerful way of saving all people who have faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.

no matter if that person is a Jew or a Gentile. There is only one Lord, and he is generous to everyone who asks for his help.

But all who do right will be rewarded with glory, honour, and peace, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.

Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and nakedness, or danger and death?

Whether Jews or Gentiles, we are those chosen ones,

Faith in Christ Jesus is what makes each of you equal with each other, whether you are a Jew or a Greek, a slave or a free person, a man or a woman.

It doesn't matter if you are a Greek or a Jew, or if you are circumcised or not. You may even be a barbarian or a Scythian, and you may be a slave or a free person. Yet Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.

It is only right for God to punish everyone who is causing you trouble,

God has already begun judging his own people. And if his judgment begins with us, imagine how terrible it will be for those who refuse to obey his message. The Scriptures say,
