You rule the roaring sea and calm its waves.

No one can compare with the LORD our God. His throne is high above,

The LORD rules on his throne, king of the flood for ever.

You silence the roaring waves and the noisy shouts of the nations.

Honesty and fairness will be his royal robes.

You show kindness for a thousand generations, but you also punish people for the sins of their parents. You are the LORD All-Powerful.

At the LORD's command, oceans and rivers dry up. Bashan, Mount Carmel, and Lebanon wither, and their flowers fade.

When Jesus and Peter got into the boat, the wind died down.

Jesus got up and ordered the wind and the waves to be quiet. The wind stopped, and everything was calm.

Now they were more afraid than ever and said to each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”
