They would do the right thing and because they did, they would grow stronger.

Jerusalem, we are standing inside your gates.

In my heart, I am thirsty for you, the living God. When will I see your face?

Send your light and your truth to guide me. Let them lead me to your house on your sacred mountain.

The lifestyle of good people is like sunlight at dawn that keeps getting brighter until broad daylight.

But those who trust the LORD will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired.

I will soon come to save you. I am not far away and will waste no time; I take pride in Israel and will save Jerusalem.

Afterwards, the survivors from those nations that attacked Jerusalem will go there each year to worship the King, the LORD All-Powerful, and to celebrate the Festival of Shelters.

The Law of the Lord also says that parents have to offer a sacrifice, giving at least a pair of doves or two young pigeons. So that is what Mary and Joseph did.

Because of all that the Son is, we have been given one blessing after another.

After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together.

He cuts away every branch of mine that doesn't produce fruit. But he trims clean every branch that does produce fruit, so that it will produce even more fruit.

and he wants to make certain that none of the ones he has given me will be lost. Instead, he wants me to raise them to life on the last day.

So our faces are not covered. They show the bright glory of the Lord, as the Lord's Spirit makes us more and more like our glorious Lord.

Each year there are three festivals when all Israelite men must go to the place where the LORD chooses to be worshipped. These are the Festival of Thin Bread, the Harvest Festival, and the Festival of Shelters. And don't forget to take along a gift for the LORD.

Next, all of us who are still alive will be taken up into the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the sky. From that time on we will all be with the Lord for ever.

Let the wonderful kindness and the understanding that come from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ help you to keep on growing. Praise Jesus now and for ever! Amen.
