The LORD God took a handful of soil and made a man. God breathed life into the man, and the man started breathing.

He wanted Joab to talk to David for him. So one day he sent a message asking Joab to come over, but Joab refused. Absalom sent another message, but Joab still refused.

What makes you so concerned about us humans?

All you mighty angels, who obey God's commands, come and praise your LORD!

and protects us from death. His kindness and love are a crown on our heads.

Why do we humans mean anything to you, our LORD? Why do you care about us?

You are God, and you will rule for ever as king. Your royal power brings about justice.

There Christ rules over all forces, authorities, powers, and rulers. He rules over all beings in this world and will rule in the future world as well.

Jesus clearly did not come to help angels, but he did come to help Abraham's descendants.

You made us lower than the angels for a while. Yet you have crowned us with glory and honour.

What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels. Because of God's wonderful kindness, Jesus died for everyone. And now that Jesus has suffered and died, he is crowned with glory and honour!
