Our God and King, you have ruled since ancient times; you have won victories everywhere on this earth.

You are my God and King, and you give victory to the people of Jacob.

Each morning you listen to my prayer, as I bring my requests to you and wait for your reply.

The LORD is our judge and our ruler; the LORD is our king and will keep us safe.

The LORD rescued his people, and said, “They are mine. They won't betray me.”

You, LORD, are the only true and living God. You will rule for all time. When you are angry the earth shakes, and nations are destroyed.

Holy LORD God, mighty rock, you are eternal, and we are safe from death. You are using those Babylonians to judge and punish others.

But he also said, “I will punish the nation that makes them slaves. Then later they will come and worship me in this place.”
