Psalm 63:1

Then I lift my hands in prayer, because my soul is a desert, thirsty for water from you.

Deep in my heart I long for your temple, and with all that I am I sing joyful songs to you.

But more than anything else, put God's work first and do what he wants. Then the other things will be yours as well.

Then you will say to the LORD, “You are my fortress, my place of safety; you are my God, and I trust you.”

The LORD is my strength, the reason for my song, because he has saved me. I praise and honour the LORD— he is my God and the God of my ancestors.

Each morning you listen to my prayer, as I bring my requests to you and wait for your reply.

You are my God. Show me what you want me to do, and let your gentle Spirit lead me in the right path.

But I trust you, LORD, and I claim you as my God.

Jesus told her, “Don't hold on to me! I have not yet gone to the Father. But tell my disciples that I am going to the one who is my Father and my God, as well as your Father and your God.”

I long for you to rescue me! Your word is my only hope.

When an evil spirit leaves a person, it travels through the desert, looking for a place to rest. But when the demon doesn't find a place,

They will be a place of safety from stormy winds, a stream in the desert, and a rock that gives shade from the heat of the sun.

Young women of Jerusalem, if you find the one I love, please say to him, “She is weak with desire.”

I'll wait at the river crossing in the desert until I hear from you.

The LORD is our God, bringing justice everywhere on earth.
