You love me and will let me see my enemies defeated.

They are dependable and not afraid, and they will live to see their enemies defeated.

You truly blessed the king, and you placed on him a crown of finest gold.

Come! See the fearsome things the LORD has done on earth.

You do what is right, and I ask you to guide me. Make your teaching clear because of my enemies.

you will punish my enemies for their evil deeds. Be my faithful friend and destroy them.

You have rescued me from all my troubles, and my own eyes have seen my enemies fall.

Many of them are pursuing and attacking me,

They attack from ambush, watching my every step and hoping to kill me.

I will sing your praises! You are my mighty fortress, and you love me.

Don't make us pay for the sins of our ancestors. Have pity and come quickly! We are completely helpless.

And with your own eyes you will see the punishment of the wicked.

My eyes have seen, and my ears have heard the doom and destruction of my terrible enemies.

I will answer their prayers before they finish praying.

Our LORD, you chose me to care for your people, and that's what I have done. You know everything I have said, and I have never once asked you to punish them.

Praise God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! The Father is a merciful God, who always gives us comfort.

Our Lord Jesus told us that when he comes, we won't go up to meet him ahead of his followers who have already died.

But God shows undeserved kindness to everyone. That's why he appointed Christ Jesus to choose you to share in his eternal glory. You will suffer for a while, but God will make you complete, steady, strong, and firm.

As surely as the LORD lives, the LORD will kill Saul, or Saul will die a natural death or be killed in battle.
