Good people will be glad when they see the wicked getting what they deserve, and they will wash their feet in their enemies' blood.

When God's people see the godless swept away, they celebrate,

My herds gave enough milk to bathe my feet, and from my olive harvest flowed rivers of oil.

You will see this because you obey the LORD, but everyone who is wicked will be silenced.

When good people see this fearsome sight, they will laugh and say,

May the LORD bless his people with peace and happiness and let them celebrate.

Then we could stamp on their blood, and our dogs could chew on their bones.

And with your own eyes you will see the punishment of the wicked.

Those crooks will disappear when a storm strikes, but God will keep safe all who obey him.

When honest people prosper and the wicked disappear, the whole city celebrates.

Tell the heavens to celebrate and all gods to bow down to the LORD, because he will take revenge on those hateful enemies who killed his people. He will forgive the sins of Israel and purify their land.

The heavens should be happy with God's people and apostles and prophets. God has punished her for them.”

Our LORD, we pray that all your enemies will die like Sisera. But let everyone who loves you shine brightly like the sun at dawn.
