You have turned my sorrow into joyful dancing. No longer am I sad and wearing sackcloth.

You are precious to me, and so I will rebuild your nation. Once again you will dance for joy and play your tambourines.

The LORD All-Powerful will destroy the power of death and wipe away all tears. No longer will his people be insulted everywhere. The LORD has spoken!

Please listen when I pray! Have pity. Answer my prayer.

Jehoiachin was allowed to wear ordinary clothes instead of a prison uniform, and he even ate at the king's table every day.
