Whenever these soldiers went to war against their enemies, they prayed to God and trusted him to help. That's why the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and East Manasseh defeated the Hagrites and their allies.

You answered their prayers when they were in trouble.

I come to you, LORD, for protection. Don't let me be ashamed. Do as you have promised and rescue me.

The Scriptures say that no one who has faith will be disappointed,

just as God says in the Scriptures, “Look! I am placing in Zion a stone to make people stumble and fall. But those who have faith in that one will never be disappointed.”

It is just as God says in the Scriptures, “Look! I am placing in Zion a choice and precious cornerstone. No one who has faith in that one will be disappointed.”

Jabin's army had nine hundred iron chariots, and for twenty years he made life miserable for the Israelites, until finally they begged the LORD for help.

The Midianites took almost everything that belonged to the Israelites, and the Israelites begged the LORD for help.
