Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD was pleased with him.

The man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob. You have wrestled with God and with men, and you have won. That's why your name will be Israel.”

Because of the mighty power he had used against the Egyptians, the Israelites worshipped him and trusted him and his servant Moses.
