Everyone sins. But when your people sin against you, suppose you get angry enough to let their enemies drag them away to foreign countries.

And so, I ask you, God, why pick on me?

No human is pure and innocent,

How can anyone be innocent in the sight of God?

“No humans are innocent in the eyes of God their Creator.

If you kept record of our sins, no one could last long.

I keep my promises to my people for ever, but I also punish anyone who sins. When people sin, I punish them and their children, and also their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

No one in this world always does right.

God doesn't accept people simply because they obey the Law. No, indeed! All the Law does is to point out our sin.

But we know that God accepts only those who have faith in Jesus Christ. No one can please God by simply obeying the Law. So we put our faith in Christ Jesus, and God accepted us because of our faith.
