As soon as Zimri became king, he killed everyone in Baasha's family. Not one man or boy in his family was left alive—even his close friends were killed.

They are gone and forgotten,

without any children to carry on their name.

You will wipe their families from the earth, and they will disappear.

He knew that his sons refused to respect me, and he let them get away with it, even though I said I would punish his family for ever.
