It's selfish and stupid to think only of yourself and to sneer at people who have sense.

Beg as loud as you can for good common sense.

Listen to instruction and do your best to learn.

But if you go to bed with another man's wife, you will destroy yourself by your own stupidity.

So I decided to learn everything I could and become wise enough to discover what life is all about. At the same time, I wanted to understand why it's stupid and senseless to be an evil fool.

Day and night I went without sleep, trying to understand what goes on in this world.

I noticed all this and thought seriously about what goes on in the world. Why does one person have the power to hurt another?

Pay close attention! Come to me and live. I will promise you the eternal love and loyalty that I promised David.

If you have ears, pay attention!

The people in Berea were much nicer than those in Thessalonica, and they gladly accepted the message. Day after day they studied the Scriptures to see if these things were true.
