Sin cannot offer security! But if you live right, you will be as secure as a tree with deep roots.

Those crooks will disappear when a storm strikes, but God will keep safe all who obey him.

and that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. Stand firm and be deeply rooted in his love.

An evil person tries to hide behind evil; good people are like trees with deep roots.

Plant your roots in Christ and let him be the foundation for your life. Be strong in your faith, just as you were taught. And be grateful.

They lend their money without charging interest, and they don't take bribes to hurt the innocent. Those who do these things will always stand firm.

And you should also be praised. Your good sense kept me from taking revenge and killing innocent people.

Their property and wealth will shrink and disappear.

If you are truly good, you will do right; if you are wicked, you will be destroyed by your own sin.

We cannot control the wind or determine the day of our death. There is no escape in time of war, and no one can hide behind evil.
