Now that the judgment for your sins has fallen upon you,

They gladly give and lend, and their children turn out good.

Always tell the truth in court, even if everyone else is dishonest and stands in the way of justice.

Don't bring false charges against anyone or sentence an innocent person to death. I won't forgive you if you do.

I will make an agreement with them that will never end, and I won't ever stop doing good things for them. With all my heart I promise that they will be planted in this land once again.

A large number of Jews from both northern and southern Egypt listened to me as I told them what the LORD had said. Most of the men in the crowd knew that their wives often burnt incense to other gods. So they and their wives shouted:

This promise is for you and your children. It is for everyone our Lord God will choose, no matter where they live.”
