At the LORD's command, oceans and rivers dry up. Bashan, Mount Carmel, and Lebanon wither, and their flowers fade.

God did not forget about Noah and the animals with him in the boat. So God made a wind blow, and the water started going down.

You roared at the sea, and its deepest channels could be seen. You snorted, and the earth shook to its foundations.

and said, “Your powerful waves stop here! They can go no further.”

Then your voice thundered! And the water flowed

You said to the Red Sea, “Dry up!” Then you led your people across on land as dry as a desert.

When the sea looked at God, it ran away, and the River Jordan flowed upstream.

You opened the ground for streams and springs and dried up mighty rivers.

Fields are dry and barren; Mount Lebanon wilts with shame. Sharon Valley is a desert; the forests of Bashan and Carmel have lost their leaves.

I will destroy the mountains and what grows on them; I will dry up rivers and ponds.

I am the one who commands the sea and its streams to run dry.

Didn't you dry up the deep sea and make a road for your people to follow safely across?

I will dry up the River Nile, then sell the land to evil buyers. I will send foreigners to turn your entire nation into a barren desert. I, the LORD, have spoken.

Every living thing on earth will tremble in fear of me—every fish and bird, every wild animal and reptile, and every human. Mountains will crumble, cliffs will fall, and cities will collapse.

and I said: When the LORD roars from Jerusalem, pasture lands and Mount Carmel dry up and turn brown.

But the LORD created the stars and put them in place. He turns darkness to dawn and daylight to darkness; he scoops up the ocean and empties it on the earth.

But Jesus replied, “Why are you so afraid? You don't have much faith.” Then he got up and ordered the wind and the waves to calm down. And everything was calm.

the river stopped flowing, and the water started piling up at the town of Adam near Zarethan. No water flowed towards the Dead Sea, and the priests stood in the middle of the dry river bed near Jericho while everyone else crossed over.
