From east to west, the powerful LORD God has been calling together everyone on earth.

God comes to judge his people. He shouts to the heavens and to the earth,

The LORD has said, “Listen, heaven and earth! The children I raised have turned against me.

The LORD is ready to accuse and judge all nations.

People of Judah, don't be too proud to listen to what the LORD has said.

Land of Judah, I am the LORD. Now listen to what I say!

The LORD said: Ezekiel, son of man, tell the mountains of Israel

Trees will grow on you mountains of Israel and produce fruit for my people, because they will soon come home.

He then told me to say: Dry bones, listen to what the LORD is saying to you,

Listen, you mountains and hills, and every valley and gorge! I, the LORD, am about to turn against you and crush all the places where foreign gods are worshipped.

People of Israel, I rescued you from Egypt. Now listen to my judgment against you.

Listen, all of you! Earth and everything on it, pay close attention. The LORD God accuses you from his holy temple.

Mountains will melt beneath his feet like wax beside a fire. Valleys will vanish like water rushing down a ravine.

I will become furious and take revenge on the nations that refuse to obey me.

Israel, I am bringing charges against you— I call upon the mountains and the earth's firm foundation to be my witnesses.

But Jesus answered, “If they keep quiet, these stones will start shouting.”

Earth and Sky, listen to what I say!

Now the LORD will be your judge. So stand here and listen, while I remind you how often the LORD has saved you and your ancestors from your enemies.

“Stop!” Samuel said. “Let me tell you what the LORD told me last night.” “All right,” Saul answered.
