A few of Jacob's descendants survived and are scattered among the nations. But the LORD will let them cover the earth like dew and rain that refreshes the soil.

and we will all go to fight David wherever he is. We will fall on him just as dew falls and covers the ground. He and all his soldiers will die!

It is like the dew from Mount Hermon, falling on Zion's mountains, where the LORD has promised to bless his people with life for evermore.

And those who survive will be taken from their country and led here to Babylonia. Ezekiel, when you see how sinful they are, you will know why I did all these things to Jerusalem.

The man took me back to the temple, where I saw a stream flowing from under the entrance. It began in the south part of the temple, where it ran past the altar and continued east through the courtyard.

I am the LORD God, and I have made Jerusalem the most important place in the world, and all other nations admire it.

The king will use deceit to win followers from those who are unfaithful to God, but those who remain faithful will do everything possible to oppose him.

I will be like the dew— then you will blossom like lilies and have roots like a tree.

Let's do our best to know the LORD. His coming is as certain as the morning sun; he will refresh us like rain renewing the earth in the springtime.

Then the LORD will save everyone who faithfully worships him. He has promised there will be survivors on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and among them will be his chosen ones.

Choose good instead of evil! See that justice is done. Perhaps I, the LORD All-Powerful, will be kind to what's left of your people.

I, the LORD, promise to bring together the people of Israel who have survived. I will gather them, just as a shepherd brings sheep together, and there will be many.

Smash them to pieces, Zion! I'll let you be like a bull with iron horns and bronze hoofs. Crush those nations and bring their wealth to me, the LORD of the earth.

Then the lame and the outcasts will belong to my people and become a strong nation. I, the LORD, will rule them from Mount Zion for ever.

The LORD will abandon Israel only until this ruler is born, and the rest of his family returns to Israel.

At present they are scattered, but later they will attack, as though they were fierce lions pouncing on sheep. Their enemies will be torn to shreds, with no one to save them;

Our God, no one is like you. We are all that is left of your chosen people, and you freely forgive our sin and guilt. You don't stay angry for ever; you're glad to have pity

The people of Israel who survive will live right and refuse to tell lies. They will eat and rest with nothing to fear.

In both summer and winter, life-giving streams will flow from Jerusalem, half of them to the Dead Sea in the east and half to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.

I will use Judah as my bow and Israel as my arrow. I will take the people of Zion as my sword and attack the Greeks.

Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,

After I started speaking, the Holy Spirit was given to them, just as the Spirit had been given to us at the beginning.

But Paul and Barnabas bravely said: We had to tell God's message to you before we told it to anyone else. But you rejected the message! This proves that you don't deserve eternal life. Now we are going to the Gentiles.

During the night, Paul had a vision of someone from Macedonia who was standing there and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!”

The Lord said to Ananias, “Go! I have chosen him to tell foreigners, kings, and the people of Israel about me.

Isaiah was fearless enough to tell that the Lord had said, “I was found by people who were not looking for me. I appeared to the ones who were not asking about me.”

But if the rest of the world's people were helped so much by Israel's sin and loss, they will be helped even more by their full return.

What does all this mean? It means that the Gentiles were not trying to be acceptable to God, but they found that he would accept them if they had faith.

I planted the seeds, Apollos watered them, but God made them sprout and grow.

Israel, I will teach you. My words will be like gentle rain on tender young plants, or like dew on the grass.

Gideon prayed to God, “I know that you promised to help me rescue Israel, but I need proof. Tonight I'll put some wool on the stone floor of that threshing place over there. If you really will help me rescue Israel, then tomorrow morning let there be dew on the wool, but let the stone floor be dry.”
