Heaven and earth may disappear. But I promise you that not even a full stop or comma will ever disappear from the Law. Everything written in it must happen.

They will all disappear and wear out like clothes. You change them, as you would a coat, but you last for ever.

They are true and right and will stand for ever.

From studying your laws, I found out long ago that you made them to last for ever.

Flowers and grass fade away, but what our God has said will never change.

I will make the message of my prophets come true. They are saying, “Jerusalem will be filled with people, and the LORD will rebuild the towns of Judah.”

Look closely at the sky! Stare at the earth. The sky will vanish like smoke; the earth will wear out like clothes. Everyone on this earth will die like flies. But my victory will last; my saving power never ends.

I promise you that the day of judgment will be easier for the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

When people ill-treat you in one town, hurry to another one. I promise you that before you have gone to all the towns of Israel, the Son of Man will come.

And anyone who gives one of my most humble followers a cup of cool water, just because that person is my follower, will be rewarded.

I tell you that no one ever born on this earth is greater than John the Baptist. But whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John.

Many prophets and good people were eager to see what you see and to hear what you hear. But I tell you that they did not see or hear.

I promise you that some of those standing here will not die before they see the Son of Man coming with his kingdom.

Jesus replied: It is because you don't have enough faith! But I can promise you this. If you had faith no larger than a mustard seed, you could tell this mountain to move from here to there. And it would. Everything would be possible for you.

I promise you that God in heaven will allow whatever you allow on earth, but he will not allow anything you don't allow.

Then he said: I promise you this. If you don't change and become like a child, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus said to his disciples, “It's terribly hard for rich people to get into the kingdom of heaven!

Jesus answered: Yes, all of you have become my followers. And so in the future world, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, I promise that you will sit on twelve thrones to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

But Jesus said to them, “If you have faith and don't doubt, I promise that you can do what I did to this tree. And you will be able to do even more. You can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it will.

Which one of the sons obeyed his father? “The elder one,” the chief priests and leaders answered. Then Jesus told them: You can be sure that tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the kingdom of God before you ever will!

I can promise that you people living today will be punished for all these things!

Jesus replied, “Do you see these buildings? They will certainly be torn down! Not one stone will be left in place.”

You may be sure that a servant who is always faithful will be put in charge of everything the master owns.

But the groom replied, “I don't even know you!”

The king will answer, “Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me.”

The king will say to them, “Whenever you failed to help any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you failed to do it for me.”

I promise you that you will not get out until you have paid the last penny you owe.

When you go without eating, don't try to look gloomy as those show-offs do when they go without eating. I can assure you that they already have their reward.

When you give to the poor, don't blow a loud horn. That's what show-offs do in the meeting places and on the street corners, because they are always looking for praise. I can assure you that they already have their reward.

When Jesus heard this, he was so surprised that he turned and said to the crowd following him, “I tell you that in all of Israel I've never found anyone with this much faith!

I promise you that you cannot get into God's kingdom, unless you accept it the way a child does.”

Jesus told him: You can be sure that anyone who gives up home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or land for me and for the good news

If you have faith in God and don't doubt, you can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it will.

Jesus told his disciples to gather around him. Then he said: I tell you that this poor widow has put in more than all the others.

You can be sure that some of the people of this generation will still be alive when all this happens.

From now on I will not drink any wine, until I drink new wine in God's kingdom.”

Jesus replied, “This very night before a cock crows twice, you will say three times that you don't know me.”

You may be sure that wherever the good news is told all over the world, people will remember what she has done. And they will tell others.

I promise you that any of the sinful things you say or do can be forgiven, no matter how terrible those things are.

If any place won't welcome you or listen to your message, leave and shake the dust from your feet as a warning to them.”

Jesus groaned and said, “Why are you always looking for a sign? I can promise you that you will not be given one!”

I can assure you that some of the people standing here will not die before they see God's kingdom come with power.

And anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name, just because you belong to me, will surely be rewarded.

This includes every prophet from the time of Abel to the time of Zechariah, who was murdered between the altar and the temple. You people will certainly be punished for all this.

Servants are fortunate if their master finds them awake and ready when he comes! I promise you that he will get ready and make his servants sit down so that he can serve them.

Now your temple will be deserted. You won't see me again until the time when you say, “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.”

Heaven and earth will disappear before the smallest letter of the Law does.

You will never get into God's kingdom unless you enter it like a child!”

Jesus answered, “You can be sure that anyone who gives up home or wife or brothers or family or children because of God's kingdom

Jesus replied, “I promise that today you will be with me in paradise.”

But you can be sure that no prophets are liked by the people of their own home town.

I tell you for certain that you will see heaven open and God's angels going up and coming down on the Son of Man.”

Jesus said: I tell you for certain that only thieves and robbers climb over the fence instead of going in through the gate to the sheep pen.

Jesus said: I tell you for certain that I am the gate for the sheep.

I tell you for certain that a grain of wheat that falls on the ground will never be more than one grain unless it dies. But if it dies, it will produce lots of wheat.

I tell you for certain that servants are not greater than their master, and messengers are not greater than the one who sent them.

“Would you really die for me?” Jesus asked. “I tell you for certain that before a cock crows, you will say three times that you don't even know me.”

I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father.

I tell you for certain that you will cry and be sad, but the world will be happy. You will be sad, but later you will be happy.

When that time comes, you won't have to ask me about anything. I tell you for certain that the Father will give you whatever you ask for in my name.

I tell you for certain that when you were a young man, you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted to go. But when you are old, you will hold out your hands. Then others will tie your belt around you and lead you where you don't want to go.”

I tell you for certain that we know what we are talking about because we have seen it ourselves. But none of you will accept what we say.

Jesus replied, “I tell you for certain that you must be born from above before you can see God's kingdom!”

Jesus answered: I tell you for certain that before you can get into God's kingdom, you must be born not only by water, but by the Spirit.

Jesus told the people: I tell you for certain that the Son cannot do anything on his own. He can do only what he sees the Father doing, and he does exactly what he sees the Father do.

Jesus answered, “I tell you for certain that you are not looking for me because you saw the miracles, but because you ate all the food you wanted.

Jesus then told them, “I tell you for certain that Moses wasn't the one who gave you bread from heaven. My Father is the one who gives you the true bread from heaven.

I tell you for certain that everyone who has faith in me has eternal life.

Jesus answered: I tell you for certain that you won't live unless you eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of Man.

Jesus replied: I tell you for certain that anyone who sins is a slave of sin!

I tell you for certain that if you obey my words, you will never die.”

Jesus answered, “I tell you for certain that even before Abraham was, I was, and I am.”

But what the Lord has said will stand for ever.” Our good news to you is what the Lord has said.

I saw a great white throne with someone sitting on it. Earth and heaven tried to run away, but there was nowhere for them to go.
