News about him spread all over Syria, and people with every kind of sickness or disease were brought to him. Some of them had a lot of demons in them, others were thought to be mad, and still others could not walk. But Jesus healed them all.

He left some of his soldiers in Damascus, and the Arameans had to accept David as their ruler and pay taxes to him. Everywhere David went, the LORD helped him win battles.

The Queen of Sheba heard how famous Solomon was, so she went to Jerusalem to test him with difficult questions.

From then on, David became even more famous, and the LORD made all the nations afraid of him.

That's why I have done my best to get everything Solomon will need to build it—gold, silver, bronze, iron, wood, onyx, turquoise, coloured gems, all kinds of precious stones, and marble.

Then he said, “I am the LORD your God, and I cure your diseases. If you obey me by doing right and by following my laws and teachings, I won't punish you with the diseases I sent on the Egyptians.”

Some people brought to Jesus a man who was blind and could not talk because he had a demon in him. Jesus healed the man, and then he was able to talk and see.

About this time Herod the ruler heard the news about Jesus

Suddenly a Canaanite woman from there came out shouting, “Lord and Son of David, have pity on me! My daughter is full of demons.”

and said, “Lord, have pity on my son! He has a bad case of epilepsy and often falls into a fire or into water.

Then Jesus spoke sternly to the demon. It went out of the boy, and at once he was healed.

Jesus went all over Galilee, teaching in the Jewish meeting places and preaching the good news about God's kingdom. He also healed every kind of disease and sickness.

After Jesus had crossed the lake, he came to shore near the town of Gadara and started down the road. Two men with demons in them came to him from the tombs. They were so fierce that no one could travel that way.

The people taking care of the pigs ran to the town and told everything, especially what had happened to the two men.

“Lord, my servant is at home in such terrible pain that he can't even move.”

News about this spread all over that part of the country.

Jesus went to every town and village. He taught in their meeting places and preached the good news about God's kingdom. Jesus also healed every kind of disease and sickness.

News about Jesus quickly spread all over Galilee.

That evening after sunset, all who were sick or had demons in them were brought to Jesus.

when four people came up, carrying a crippled man on a mat.

But because of the crowd, they could not get him to Jesus. So they made a hole in the roof above him and let the man down in front of everyone.

Is it easier for me to tell this crippled man that his sins are forgiven or to tell him to get up and pick up his mat and go on home?

These first records were made when Quirinius was governor of Syria.

Jesus returned to Galilee with the power of the Spirit. News about him spread everywhere.

Jesus left the meeting place and went to Simon's home. When Jesus got there, he was told that Simon's mother-in-law was sick with a high fever.

News about Jesus kept spreading. Large crowds came to listen to him teach and to be healed of their diseases.

But now you will see that the Son of Man has the right to forgive sins here on earth.” Jesus then said to the man, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk home.”

News about Jesus spread all over Judea and everywhere else in that part of the country.

But others said, “How could anyone with a demon in him say these things? No one like that could give sight to a blind person!”

God gave the Holy Spirit and power to Jesus from Nazareth. He was with Jesus, as he went around doing good and healing everyone who was under the power of the devil.

They wrote a letter that said: We apostles and leaders send friendly greetings to all you Gentiles who are followers of the Lord in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia.

They travelled through Syria and Cilicia, encouraging the churches.

After this happened, everyone on the island brought their sick people to Paul, and they were all healed.

Many people with evil spirits were healed, and the spirits went out of them with a shout. A lot of crippled and lame people were also healed.

The LORD helped Joshua in everything he did, and Joshua was famous everywhere in Canaan.
