Nations and kingdoms will go to war against each other. People will starve to death, and in some places there will be earthquakes.

Nations were destroying each other, and cities were wiping out other cities, because God was causing trouble and unrest everywhere.

“I will punish Egypt with civil war— neighbours, cities, and kingdoms will fight each other.

I, the LORD All-Powerful, will come to your rescue with a thundering earthquake and a fiery whirlwind.

I am the LORD God, and I promise to punish Jerusalem severely. I will send war, starvation, wild animals, and deadly disease to slaughter its people and livestock.

I will leave Jerusalem in ruins when my chosen one comes to punish this city.

The LORD will make them go into a frenzy and start attacking each other,

There will be great earthquakes, and in many places people will starve to death and suffer terrible diseases. All sorts of frightening things will be seen in the sky.

One of them was Agabus. Then with the help of the Spirit, he told that there would be a terrible famine everywhere in the world. And it happened when Claudius was Emperor.

I will perform miracles in the sky above and wonders on the earth below. There will be blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

The words “once again” mean that these created things will some day be shaken and removed. Then what cannot be shaken will last.

When I saw the Lamb open the sixth seal, I looked and saw a great earthquake. The sun turned as dark as sackcloth, and the moon became as red as blood.

When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come out!” Then I saw a black horse, and its rider had a balance scale in one hand.

I heard what sounded like a voice from somewhere among the four living creatures. It said, “A litre of wheat will cost you a whole day's wages! Three litres of barley will cost you a day's wages too. But don't ruin the olive oil or the wine.”

Then I saw a pale green horse. Its rider was named Death, and Death's Kingdom followed behind. They were given power over one fourth of the earth, and they could kill its people with swords, famines, diseases, and wild animals.
