Then Jesus asked them, “But who do you say I am?”

Jesus then asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Messiah sent from God.”

Jesus answered: I have explained the secrets about the kingdom of heaven to you, but not to others.

Then Jesus asked them, “But who do you say I am?” “You are the Messiah!” Peter replied.

The disciples answered, “Some people say you are John the Baptist or perhaps Elijah or Jeremiah or some other prophet.”

Simon Peter spoke up, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
