So the servant served the bread and grain to the people. They ate and still had some left over, just as the LORD had promised.

To everyone who is thirsty, he gives something to drink; to everyone who is hungry, he gives good things to eat.

His disciples said, “This place is like a desert. Where can we find enough food to feed such a crowd?”

There were four thousand men who ate, not counting the women and children.

God gives the hungry good things to eat, and sends the rich away with nothing.

Then one night his followers let him down over the city wall in a large basket.
