Jesus replied, “You give them something to eat.” But they asked him, “Don't you know that it would take almost a year's wages to buy all these people something to eat?”

The chief officer there with the king replied, “I don't believe it! Even if the LORD sent a rainstorm, it couldn't produce that much grain by tomorrow.” “You will see it happen, but you won't eat any of the food,” Elisha warned him.

They keep whining for meat, but where can I get meat for them?

Jesus replied, “They don't have to leave. Why don't you give them something to eat?”

As the official was leaving, he happened to meet another official, who owed him a hundred silver coins. So he grabbed the man by the throat. He started choking him and said, “Pay me what you owe!”

Let the crowds leave, so they can go to the farms and villages near here and buy something to eat.”

Then Jesus said, “How much bread do you have? Go and see!” They found out and answered, “We have five small loaves of bread and two fish.”

Jesus told him, “Two people were in debt to a moneylender. One of them owed him five hundred silver coins, and the other owed him fifty.

Jesus answered, “You give them something to eat.” But they replied, “We have only five small loaves of bread and two fish. If we are going to feed all these people, we will have to go and buy food.”
