Jesus did not say a word. But the woman kept following along and shouting, so his disciples came up and asked him to send her away.

Peter took Jesus aside and told him to stop talking like that. He said, “God would never let this happen to you, Lord!”

When Jesus' family heard what he was doing, they thought he was mad and went to get him under control.

His disciples said to him, “Look at all these people crowding around you! How can you ask who touched you?”

That evening the disciples came to Jesus and said, “This place is like a desert, and it is already late.

Jesus replied, “You give them something to eat.” But they asked him, “Don't you know that it would take almost a year's wages to buy all these people something to eat?”
