Then about that time Jesus shouted, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you deserted me?”
My God, my God, why have you deserted me? Why are you so far away? Won't you listen to my groans and come to my rescue?
so don't hide from me. I am your servant, and you have helped me. Don't turn from me in anger. You alone keep me safe. Don't reject or desert me.
You are my mighty rock. Why have you forgotten me? Why must enemies ill-treat me and make me sad?
They say, “Now we'll catch you! God has deserted you, and no one can save you.”
When the poor and needy are dying of thirst and cannot find water, I, the LORD God of Israel, will come to their rescue. I won't forget them.
No passer-by even cares. Why doesn't someone notice my terrible sufferings? You were fiercely angry, LORD, and you punished me worst of all.

It was about nine o'clock in the morning when they nailed him to the cross.

God had the power to save Jesus from death. And while Jesus was on earth, he begged God with loud crying and tears to save him. He truly worshipped God, and God listened to his prayers.
