Show respect to his son because if you don't, the LORD might become furious and suddenly destroy you. But he blesses and protects everyone who runs to him.

My Father has given me everything, and he is the only one who knows the Son. The only one who truly knows the Father is the Son. But the Son wants to tell others about the Father, so that they can know him too.

While Peter was still speaking, the shadow of a bright cloud passed over them. From the cloud a voice said, “This is my own dear Son, and I am pleased with him. Listen to what he says!”

But Jesus did not answer. So the high priest said, “With the living God looking on, you must tell the truth. Tell us, are you the Messiah, the Son of God?”

Then a voice from heaven said, “This is my own dear Son, and I am pleased with him.”

A voice from heaven said, “You are my own dear Son, and I am pleased with you.”

Then the man sent another servant, and they killed him. He kept sending servant after servant. They beat some of them and killed others.

But they said to themselves, “Some day he will own this vineyard. Let's kill him! That way we can have it all for ourselves.”

The shadow of a cloud passed over and covered them. From the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, and I love him. Listen to what he says!”

and the Holy Spirit came down upon him in the form of a dove. A voice from heaven said, “You are my own dear Son, and I am pleased with you.”

From the cloud a voice spoke, “This is my chosen Son. Listen to what he says!”

The Word became a human being and lived here with us. We saw his true glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. From him all the kindness and all the truth of God have come down to us.

No one has ever seen God. The only Son, who is truly God and is closest to the Father, has shown us what God is like.

I saw this happen, and I tell you that he is the Son of God.

Nathanael said, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God and the King of Israel!”

The Father loves the Son and has given him everything.

The Father wants all people to honour the Son as much as they honour him. When anyone refuses to honour the Son, that is the same as refusing to honour the Father who sent him.

When God brings his firstborn Son into the world, he commands all his angels to worship him.

God showed his love for us when he sent his only Son into the world to give us life.
