Jesus went all over Galilee, teaching in the Jewish meeting places and preaching the good news about God's kingdom. He also healed every kind of disease and sickness.

One Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in a Jewish meeting place,

Jesus turned and asked the Pharisees and the teachers of the Law of Moses, “Is it right to heal on the Sabbath?”

Jesus went back to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and as usual he went to the meeting place on the Sabbath. When he stood up to read from the Scriptures,

Jesus went to the town of Capernaum in Galilee and taught the people on the Sabbath.

One Sabbath when Jesus and his disciples were walking through some wheat fields, the disciples picked some wheat. They rubbed the husks off with their hands and started eating the grain.

Jesus finished by saying, “The Son of Man is Lord over the Sabbath.”

Many sick, blind, lame, and crippled people were lying close to the pool.

Some of the Pharisees said, “This man Jesus doesn't come from God. If he did, he would not break the law of the Sabbath.” Others asked, “How could someone who is a sinner perform such a miracle?” Since the Pharisees could not agree among themselves,
