My bride, my very own, I come to my garden and enjoy its spices. I eat my honeycomb and honey; I drink my wine and milk. Eat and drink until you are drunk with love.

If you are thirsty, come and drink water! If you don't have any money, come, eat what you want! Drink wine and milk without paying a penny.

How lovely they will be. Young people will grow there like grain in a field or grapes in a vineyard.

So I will call you Peter, which means “a rock”. On this rock I will build my church, and death itself will not have any power over it.

From now on I am not going to drink any wine, until I drink new wine with you in my Father's kingdom.”

Jesus picked up a cup of wine and gave thanks to God. He gave it to his disciples, and said, “Drink it!” So they all drank some.

From now on I will not drink any wine, until I drink new wine in God's kingdom.”

There they gave him some wine mixed with a drug to ease the pain, but he refused to drink it.

I can assure you that some of the people standing here will not die before they see God's kingdom come with power.

So, when you see these things happening, you know that God's kingdom will soon be here.

I tell you that I will not eat another Passover meal until it is finally eaten in God's kingdom.”

But the grapevine replied, “My wine brings cheer to people and gods. I won't stop making wine, just so my branches can wave above the other trees.”
