Not long before the LORD took Elijah up into heaven in a strong wind, Elijah and Elisha were leaving Gilgal.

Elijah and Elisha were walking along and talking, when suddenly there appeared between them a flaming chariot pulled by fiery horses. Straight away, a strong wind took Elijah up into heaven.

The LORD has done many wonderful things! Everyone who is pleased with God's marvellous deeds will keep them in mind.

“This is strange!” he said to himself. “I'll go over and see why the bush isn't burning up.”

The Queen of the South will also stand there with you and condemn you. She travelled a long way to hear Solomon's wisdom, and yet here is something much greater than Solomon.

“Praise God in heaven! Peace on earth to everyone who pleases God.”

They hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and they saw the baby lying on a bed of hay.

As he was doing this, he left and was taken up to heaven.

Christ is now in heaven, where he sits at the right side of God. All angels, authorities, and powers are under his control.
