They must also give thanks and sing praises when sacrifices are offered on each Sabbath, as well as during New Moon Festivals and other religious feasts. There must always be enough Levites on duty at the temple to do everything that needs to be done.

Everyone from Beersheba in the south to Dan in the north was invited. This was the largest crowd of people that had ever celebrated Passover, according to the official records.

Sound the trumpets and start the New Moon Festival. We must also celebrate when the moon is full.

Look to Mount Zion where we celebrate our religious festivals. You will see Jerusalem, secure as a tent with pegs that cannot be pulled up and fastened with ropes that can never be broken.

The roads to Zion mourn because no one travels there to celebrate the festivals. The city gates are deserted; priests are weeping. Young women are raped; Zion is in sorrow!

They will make decisions in difficult legal cases, according to my own laws. They must also observe the religious festivals my Law requires and must always respect the Sabbath.

I'll stop Israel's celebrations— no more New Moon Festivals, Sabbaths, or other feasts.

Tell the leaders and people to come together at the temple. Order them to go without eating and to pray sincerely.

Sound the trumpet on Zion! Call the people together. Show your sorrow by going without food.

This is a day of celebration and worship, a time of rest from your work. You and your descendants must obey this law.

I have chosen these festivals as times when my people must come together for worship and when animals, grain, and wine are to be offered on the proper days.

Passover is another time when you must come together to worship me, and it must be celebrated on the evening of the fourteenth day of the first month of each year.

This is how Moses instructed the people of Israel to celebrate the LORD's festivals.

Look towards the mountains, people of Judah! Here comes a messenger with good news of peace. Celebrate your festivals. Keep your promises to God. Your evil enemies are destroyed and will never again invade your country.

During the celebration of the New Moon Festival and other religious festivals, sound the trumpets while you offer sacrifices. This will be a reminder that I am the LORD your God.

You must offer all these sacrifices to me at the appointed times of worship, together with any offerings that are voluntarily given or given because of a promise.

Later, Jesus went to Jerusalem for another Jewish festival.

I want you to know what a struggle I am going through for you, for God's people at Laodicea, and for all those followers who have never met me.

Don't let anyone tell you what you must eat or drink. Don't let them say that you must celebrate the New Moon festival, the Sabbath, or any other festival.
