A priest will sprinkle all the incense and some of the grain and oil on the altar and send them up in smoke to show that the whole offering belongs to me.

Think of my prayer as sweet-smelling incense, and think of my lifted hands as an evening sacrifice.

The Spirit of the LORD God has taken control of me! The LORD has chosen and sent me to tell the oppressed the good news, to heal the brokenhearted, and to announce freedom for prisoners and captives.

You may offer either of them separately, when you present the first part of your harvest to me, but they must never be burnt on the altar.

Freshly cut grain, either roasted or coarsely ground, must be used when you offer the first part of your grain harvest.

You must mix in some olive oil and put incense on top, because this is a grain sacrifice.

Then, to show that the whole offering belongs to me, the priest will lay part of it on the altar and send it up in smoke with a smell that pleases me.

God had the power to save Jesus from death. And while Jesus was on earth, he begged God with loud crying and tears to save him. He truly worshipped God, and God listened to his prayers.
