Jesus also told them, “I am going away, and you will look for me. But you cannot go where I am going, and you will die with your sins unforgiven.”

You will look for me, but you won't find me. You cannot go where I am going.”

That is why I said you will die with your sins unforgiven. If you don't have faith in me for who I am, you will die, and your sins will not be forgiven.”

My children, I will be with you for a little while longer. Then you will look for me, but you won't find me. I tell you just as I told the people, “You cannot go where I am going.”

In the past you were dead because you sinned and fought against God.

Jesus answered, “The light will be with you for only a little longer. Walk in the light while you can. Then you won't be caught walking blindly in the dark.

Jesus was talking about the way he would be put to death.

Then Jesus said, “Those people will be punished for ever. But the ones who pleased God will have eternal life.”

Then the king will say to those on his left, “Get away from me! You are under God's curse. Go into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels!

You won't see me again until you say, “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.”

No child will die in infancy; everyone will live to a ripe old age. Anyone a hundred years old will be considered young, and to die younger than that will be considered a curse.

In times of trouble the wicked are destroyed, but even at death the innocent have faith.

When the wicked die, their hopes die with them.

Indeed, the wicked will die and go to their graves in the prime of life.

I swear to you in the name of the living LORD your God that the king has looked everywhere for you. He sent people to look in every country, and when they couldn't find you, he made the leader of each country swear that you were not in that country.

What did he mean by saying that we will look for him, but won't find him? Why can't we go where he is going?”
