When Jesus and his disciples had finished eating, he asked, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than the others do?” Simon Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know I do!” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus said.

If our faith is strong, we should be patient with the Lord's followers whose faith is weak. We should try to please them instead of ourselves.

We love because God loved us first.

The LORD cares for his nation, just as shepherds care for their flocks. He carries the lambs in his arms, while gently leading the mother sheep.

You have never seen Jesus, and you don't see him now. But still you love him and have faith in him, and no words can tell how glad and happy

May God be kind to everyone who keeps on loving our Lord Jesus Christ.

Look after yourselves and everyone the Holy Spirit has placed in your care. Be like shepherds to God's church. It is the flock that he bought with the blood of his own Son.

If we believe that Jesus is truly Christ, we are God's children. Everyone who loves the Father will also love his children.

God the Father loves you because you love me, and you believe that I have come from him.

Then I'll appoint wise rulers who will obey me, and they will care for you like shepherds.

After that, I will give you a shepherd from the family of my servant King David. All of you, both strong and weak, will have the same shepherd, and he will take good care of you.

You had wandered away like sheep. Now you have returned to the one who is your shepherd and protector.

Nothing is hidden from God! He sees through everything, and we will have to tell him the truth.

But Simon, I have prayed that your faith will be strong. And when you have come back to me, help the others.”

God gives peace, and he raised our Lord Jesus Christ from death. Now Jesus is like a Great Shepherd whose blood was used to make God's eternal agreement with his flock.

Welcome all the Lord's followers, even those whose faith is weak. Don't criticize them for having beliefs that are different from yours.

Jesus told him: Simon, son of Jonah, you are blessed! You didn't discover this on your own. It was shown to you by my Father in heaven.

I promise to choose leaders who will care for them like real shepherds. All my people will be there, and they will never again be frightened.

I will even kill her followers. Then all the churches will see that I know everyone's thoughts and feelings. I will treat each of you as you deserve.

Be like newborn babies who are thirsty for the pure spiritual milk that will help you grow and be saved.

If you are a follower of Christ Jesus, it makes no difference whether you are circumcised or not. All that matters is your faith that makes you love others.

Jesus said, “Come and eat!” But none of the disciples dared ask who he was. They knew he was the Lord.

Jesus' favourite disciple told Peter, “It's the Lord!” When Simon heard that it was the Lord, he put on the clothes that he had taken off while he was working. Then he jumped into the water.

Don't be cruel to any of these little ones! I promise you that their angels are always with my Father in heaven.

We must stop acting like children. We must not let deceitful people trick us by their false teachings, which are like winds that toss us around from place to place.

Then what you know has destroyed someone Christ died for.

Jesus answered: If God were your Father, you would love me, because I came from God and only from him. He sent me. I did not come on my own.

Peter spoke up, “Even if all the others reject you, I never will!”

My little group of disciples, don't be afraid! Your Father wants to give you the kingdom.

But Jacob answered, “Master, you know travelling is hard on children, and I have to look after the sheep and goats that are nursing their young. If my animals travel too much in one day, they will all die.

If you love your father or mother or even your sons and daughters more than me, you are not fit to be my disciples.

“Don't forget that I have been faithful to you, LORD. I have obeyed you with all my heart, and I do whatever you say is right.” After this, he cried hard.

I am your servant, and you know my thoughts, so there is nothing more that I need to say.

Peter asked, “Lord, why can't I go with you now? I would die for you!”

Andrew brought his brother to Jesus. And when Jesus saw him, he said, “Simon son of John, you will be called Cephas.” This name can be translated as “Peter”.

But Peter said, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never say I don't know you.” All the others said the same thing.

Peter spoke up, “Even if all the others reject you, I never will!”

I know that after I am gone, others will come like fierce wolves to attack you.

The man said, “These are the kitchens where the temple workers will boil the meat that worshippers offer as sacrifices.”
