And in the morning you will see his glorious power, because he has heard your complaints against him. Why should you grumble to us? Who are we?”

But if I do what my Father does, you should believe because of that, even if you don't have faith in me. Then you will know for certain that the Father is one with me, and I am one with the Father.

Jesus replied, “Didn't I tell you that if you had faith, you would see the glory of God?”

So Father, bring glory to yourself. A voice from heaven then said, “I have already brought glory to myself, and I will do it again!”

After Jesus had finished speaking to his disciples, he looked up towards heaven and prayed: Father, the time has come for you to bring glory to your Son, in order that he may bring glory to you.

All that I have is yours, and all that you have is mine, and they will bring glory to me.

Now, Father, give me back the glory that I had with you before the world was created.

This was Jesus' first miracle, and he did it in the village of Cana in Galilee. There Jesus showed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

The Father wants all people to honour the Son as much as they honour him. When anyone refuses to honour the Son, that is the same as refusing to honour the Father who sent him.

Jesus replied, “If I honoured myself, it would mean nothing. My Father is the one who honours me. You claim that he is your God,

The leaders called the man back and said, “Swear by God to tell the truth! We know that Jesus is a sinner.”

“No, it wasn't!” Jesus answered. “But because of his blindness, you will see God perform a miracle for him.

Do I mean that the people of Israel fell, never to get up again? Certainly not! Their failure made it possible for the Gentiles to be saved, and this will make the people of Israel jealous.

Jesus Christ will keep you busy doing good deeds that bring glory and praise to God.

I honestly expect and hope that I will never do anything to be ashamed of. Whether I live or die, I always want to be as brave as I am now and bring honour to Christ.

And when he did come, it was to lead you to have faith in God, who raised him from death and honoured him in a glorious way. That's why you have put your faith and hope in God.

If you have the gift of speaking, preach God's message. If you have the gift of helping others, do it with the strength that God supplies. Everything should be done in a way that will bring honour to God because of Jesus Christ, who is glorious and powerful for ever. Amen.

Count it a blessing when you suffer for being a Christian. This shows that God's glorious Spirit is with you.
