In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God said, “Now we will make humans, and they will be like us. We will let them rule the fish, the birds, and all other living creatures.”

In the beginning, LORD, you laid the earth's foundation and created the heavens.

The LORD made the heavens and everything in them by his word.

I was right beside the LORD, helping him plan and build. I made him happy each day, and I was happy at his side.

I created the world and covered it with people; I stretched out the sky and filled it with stars.

We have only one God, and he is the Father. He created everything, and we live for him. Jesus Christ is our only Lord. Everything was made by him, and by him life was given to us.

God, who created everything, wanted me to help everyone understand the mysterious plan that had always been hidden in his mind.

Because of our faith, we know that the world was made at God's command. We also know that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen.

If we believe that Jesus is truly Christ, we are God's children. Everyone who loves the Father will also love his children.

This is what you must write to the angel of the church in Laodicea: I am the one called Amen! I am the faithful and true witness and the source of God's creation. Listen to what I say.

“Our Lord and God, you are worthy to receive glory, honour, and power. You created all things, and by your decision they are and were created.”
