I, the LORD, will bring my people back from Babylonia and everywhere else on earth. The blind and the lame will be there. Expectant mothers and women about to give birth will come and be part of that great crowd.

When I bring you home from the places where you are now scattered, I will be pleased with you, just as I am pleased with the smell of the smoke from your sacrifices. Every nation on earth will see that I am holy,

just as a shepherd looks for lost sheep. My sheep have been lost since that dark and miserable day when they were scattered throughout the nations. But I will rescue them

and bring them back from the foreign nations where they now live. I will be their shepherd and will let them graze on Israel's mountains and in the valleys and fertile fields.

to look for those that are lost and bring back the ones that wander off, to bandage those that are hurt and protect the ones that are weak. I will also slaughter those that are fat and strong, because I always do right.

The LORD said: At that time I will gather my people— the lame and the outcasts, and all into whose lives I have brought sorrow.

I will punish those who ill-treat you. I will bring together the lame and the outcasts, then they will be praised, instead of despised, in every country on earth.

The LORD says to his people, “Run! Escape from the land in the north, where I scattered you to the four winds.

He won't break off a bent reed or put out a dying flame, but he will make sure that justice is done.

When Jesus and his disciples had finished eating, he asked, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than the others do?” Simon Peter answered, “Yes, Lord, you know I do!” “Then feed my lambs,” Jesus said.

You know-all this, and so it doesn't bother you to eat in the temple of an idol. But suppose a person with a weak conscience sees you and decides to eat food that has been offered to idols.

My friends, we beg you to warn anyone who isn't living right. Encourage anyone who feels left out, help all who are weak, and be patient with everyone.

Now stand up straight! Stop your knees from shaking

Jesus understands every weakness of ours, because he was tempted in every way that we are. But he did not sin!
