that the LORD All-Powerful, the God of Israel, had said: I had you taken from Jerusalem to Babylonia. Now I tell you
I create light and darkness, happiness and sorrow. I, the LORD, do all of this.
Now I will let you know what I am going to do. I will cut down the hedge and tear down the wall. My vineyard will be trampled and left in ruins.

to settle there and build houses. Plant gardens and eat what you grow in them.
Isn't the whole city frightened when the trumpet signals an attack? Isn't it the LORD who brings disaster on a city?
