The LORD said: Jeremiah, go to the pottery shop and buy a clay jar. Then take along some of the city officials and leading priests
He told Prime Minister Eliakim, Assistant Prime Minister Shebna, and the senior priests to dress in sackcloth and tell the prophet Isaiah:
and shatter like a crushed bowl. There's not a piece left big enough to carry hot coals or to scoop up water.”
The LORD told me, “Go and buy a pair of linen shorts. Wear them for a while, but don't wash them.”
Then some of the leaders from other towns stepped forward. They told the crowd that
These are Zion's people, worth more than purest gold; yet they are counted worthless like dishes of clay.

We are like clay jars in which this treasure is stored. The real power comes from God and not from us.
