Then the LORD showed me something else and asked, “What do you see now?” I answered, “I see a pot of boiling water in the north, and it's about to spill out towards us.”

“Jeremiah,” the LORD asked, “what do you see?” “Figs,” I said. “Some are very good, but the others are too rotten to eat.”

In the past, I took care to uproot them, to tear them down, and to destroy them. But when that day comes, I will take care to plant them and help them grow.

I will give them my message, and what I say will certainly happen. Warn those rebels that the time has come for them to be punished. I, the LORD, make this promise.

So tell them that my words will soon come true, just as I have warned. I, the LORD, have spoken.

and asked, “Amos, what do you see?” “A basket of ripe fruit,” I replied. Then he said, “This is the end for my people Israel. I won't forgive them again.

Jesus said, “You have given the right answer. If you do this, you will have eternal life.”

Some of the teachers of the Law of Moses said, “Teacher, you have given a good answer!”

Then the LORD told me: Moses, they have said the right thing.

Soon our enemies will get what they deserve— suddenly they will slip, and total disaster will quickly follow.

The LORD heard you and said: Moses, I heard what the people said to you, and I approve.
