People far away marvel at your fearsome deeds, and all who live under the sun celebrate and sing because of you.

You take care of the earth and send rain to help the soil grow all kinds of crops. Your rivers never run dry, and you prepare the earth to produce much grain.

Say to God, “Everything you do is fearsome, and your mighty power makes your enemies come crawling.

Pray for his blessings to continue and for everyone on earth to worship our God.

Nations learnt of this and trembled— Philistines shook with horror.

Be silent and listen, every island in the sea. Have courage and come near, every one of you nations. Let's settle this matter!

Worshippers of idols comfort each other, saying, “Don't worry!”

The Amorite kings west of the River Jordan and the Canaanite kings along the Mediterranean Sea lost their courage and their will to fight, when they heard how the LORD had dried up the River Jordan to let Israel go across.
