When I tell wicked people they will die because of their sins, you must warn them to turn from their sinful ways. But if you refuse to warn them, you are responsible for their death.

Some day you will beg the LORD to help you, but he will turn away because of your sins.

Those nations will suffer disaster because of what they did.

But if you don't keep your promise, you will sin against the LORD and be punished.

After all, Christ will judge each of us for the good or the bad that we do while living in these bodies.

Do this, because on the day of judgment there will be no pity for those who have not had pity on others. But even in judgment, God is merciful!

God also punished the people of Shechem for helping Abimelech. Everything happened just as Jotham's curse said it would.
