“I'll say whatever the living LORD my God tells me to say,” Micaiah replied.

But the people only laughed and insulted these prophets. They ignored what the LORD God was trying to tell them, until he finally became so angry that nothing could stop him from punishing Judah and Jerusalem.

I pray that God will bless me for everything I have done for my people.

But I trust you, LORD, and I claim you as my God.

If you keep being stubborn after many warnings, you will suddenly discover you have gone too far.

How I wish that you had obeyed my commands! Your success and good fortune would then have overflowed like a flooding river.

Then I said: Listen, every one of you in the royal family of David. You have already tried my patience. Now you are trying God's patience by refusing to ask for proof.

While you have been sinning, I have been trying to talk to you, but you refuse to listen.

Their food won't satisfy, and having sex at pagan shrines won't produce children. My people have rebelled

You priests have rejected me, and my people are destroyed by refusing to obey. Now I'll reject you and forget your children, because you have forgotten my Law.

Trouble and destruction will be their reward for rejecting me. I would have rescued them, but they told me lies.

and asked, “Amos, what do you see?” “A basket of ripe fruit,” I replied. Then he said, “This is the end for my people Israel. I won't forgive them again.

At my command, all of you will be sifted like grain. Israelites who remain faithful will be scattered among the nations. And the others will be trapped like rubbish in a sieve.

But I trust the LORD God to save me, and I will wait for him to answer my prayer.

Don't be stubborn like your ancestors. They were warned by the earlier prophets to give up their evil and turn back to me, but they paid no attention.

Jesus told her, “Don't hold on to me! I have not yet gone to the Father. But tell my disciples that I am going to the one who is my Father and my God, as well as your Father and your God.”

Thomas replied, “You are my Lord and my God!”

The Jewish leaders asked each other, “Where can he go to keep us from finding him? Is he going to some foreign country where our people live? Is he going there to teach the Greeks?

No one who disobeys that prophet will be one of God's people any longer.”

“I wanted to scatter you, so no one would remember that you had ever lived.

Soon you will cross the River Jordan and settle down in the land. Then in the years to come, you will have children, and they will give you grandchildren. After many years, you might lose your sense of right and wrong and make idols, even though the LORD your God hates them. So I am giving you fair warning today, and I call the earth and the sky as witnesses. If you ever make idols, the LORD will be angry, and you won't have long to live, because the LORD will let you be wiped out.

Only a few of you will survive, and the LORD will force you to leave the land and will scatter you among the nations.

I pray that God will take care of all your needs with the wonderful blessings that come from Christ Jesus!
