Should I risk my life by telling God that I want to speak?

The LORD is sitting in his sacred temple on his throne in heaven. He knows everything we do because he sees us all.

Our God is in the heavens, doing as he chooses.

Our God says, “Calm down, and learn that I am God! All nations on earth will honour me.”

Be silent and listen, every island in the sea. Have courage and come near, every one of you nations. Let's settle this matter!

In the year that King Uzziah died, I had a vision of the LORD. He was on his throne high above, and his robe filled the temple.

The LORD said: Heaven is my throne; the earth is my footstool. What kind of house could you build for me? In what place will I rest?

Do you hear that noise in the city and those shouts coming from the temple? It is the LORD shouting as he punishes his enemies.

I thought I was swept away from your sight, never again to see your holy temple.

When my life was slipping away, I remembered you— and in your holy temple you heard my prayer.

Listen, all of you! Earth and everything on it, pay close attention. The LORD God accuses you from his holy temple.

Be silent! I am the LORD God, and the time is near. I am preparing to sacrifice my people and to invite my guests.

Everyone, be silent! The LORD is present and moving about in his holy place.
