Judah went over to Joseph and said: Sir, you have as much power as the king himself, and I am only your slave. Please don't get angry if I speak.

Abraham said, “Please don't be angry, LORD, if I ask you what you will do if there are only thirty good people in the city.” “If I find thirty,” the LORD replied, “I still won't destroy it.”

Finally, Abraham said, “Please don't get angry, LORD, if I speak just once more. Suppose you find only ten good people there.” “For the sake of ten good people,” the LORD told him, “I still won't destroy the city.”

Joseph said, “Let me tell you about my dream.

We were out in the field, tying up bundles of wheat. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles gathered around and bowed down to it.”

His brothers asked, “Do you really think you are going to be king and rule over us?” Now they hated Joseph more than ever because of what he had said about his dream.

I'm putting you in charge of my palace, and everybody will have to obey you. No one will be over you except me.

The king told Joseph, “Although I'm king, no one in Egypt is to do anything without your permission.”

Joseph told them, “I would never punish all of you. Only the one who was caught with the cup will become my slave. The rest of you are free to go home to your father.”

Then she asked, “Your Majesty, may I say something?” “Yes,” he answered.

The king's servants told Queen Vashti what he had said, but she refused to go to him, and this made him terribly angry.

So, Job, pay attention and don't interrupt,

Our LORD, will you keep on being angry? Will your angry feelings keep flaming up like fire?

Aaron answered: Don't be angry with me. You know as well as I do that they are determined to do evil.

An angry king roars like a lion, but when a king is pleased, it's like dew on the crops.

God did such great things for him that people of all nations and races shook with fear. Your father had the power of life or death over everyone, and he could honour or ruin anyone he chose.

The Father doesn't judge anyone, but he has made his Son the judge of everyone.
